Lafayette Elementary is nestled between the Ukranian Village and Humboldt Park neighborhoods.  Lafayette serves as a neighborhood school for Pre-K-8th grade students.  Lafayette boasts two Head Start classrooms and is a cluster site for Autism.  At Lafayette we value the child as learner.   Teachers regularly assess students and gear their instruction towards the child’s individual needs. 

Lafayette offers a Transitional Bilingual Program for our ESL ( English as a second language) students.  Lafayette is a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports) School and works hard to support students academically and behaviorally.  Lafayette is a Magnet Cluster school focused on Math and Science.  The school partners with over 50 local agencies to better serve its students and families.
